Food was really good- we had the pasta frutti, pizza, pasta carbonara and fritti calamari. Taste is above par. When in italy told hubby we should eat pasta and pizza.
Service ok... as per other yelp members the waitress (not sure if the same) was a bit grumpy. Attentive but pushy. Getting the 3 stars because - on their door was a sign that we can pay with credit card but upon getting our bill, she said the card machine is not working and we need to pay cash... prior to us paying, another customer who ordered just 2 pizzas paid with CC. So hmmmmm... be very wary also about other orders, you might think salad comes with the meal but it's another entree. She will push it like it's part of a combo.

This was a fantastic dinner. We stopped in because it was close to our apartment and we were hungry. It's a small place but the hostess assured us we'd fit, so we sat down.

I was worried that this was just another overpriced tourist trap (Venice is full of them). It's not - this place is fantastic.

Firstly, the food was all delicious and freshly prepared. Everyone at the table agreed and we ate the entirety of our plates even though we ordered multiple dishes each!

I'd like to compliment the hostess. She wasn't just a hostess - she was the hostess, the waitress, the server, the busboy and the cashier. There was LITERALLY one worker in this small restaurant - and this lady did it all with grace and ease. In between all of the demands of us customers, she was encouraging passersby looking at the menu outside to come in!

We went there on December 30 in the evening. We had originally had plans across town for New Year's Eve dinner, but I think we're canceling and coming here tonight instead for a repeat performance!

Horrible service! Waited 30 minutes for fish and chips which ended up coming with one tiny tiny piece of fish. The waitress asked us for water but didn't bring it until we FINISHED our food. I'm amazed at how horrible the service was. Don't eat here if you want to be full and happy.

Gruff un-attentive waitress.  3x charges for beer + unannounced service charge.  Try another place.

We'd done really well avoiding the traps in Venice but today we failed. Being very tired and very very hungry we were enticed inside by the waitress standing outside and even more so by the crowd of locals inside (I now assume they are treated much better than tourist.) Up till today we had been religious about looking up a restaurant on Trip Advisor/Yelp but today we took a chance. And paid for it.

Our simple lunch cost over 70 euros. Thank goodness we didn't order any wine or beer. The waitress was only interested in trying to get us to order more and we foolishly fell for the "bread with olive oil" as a starter offer (dried toast with tomatoes = 12 euros).

I knew that there was going to be a cover charge (10 euros) so I wasn't intending on leaving a tip. The waitress made a big deal about telling me there wasn't a tip included and then hovered angrily over me as I signed our credit card receipt. Then I had to ask twice for our receipt of the bill.

We had wanted to have a nice dinner out tonight since it's our last evening but thanks to us not being vigilant about the many tourist traps, we will be buying cheapo sandwiches at the grocery store and eating them in our hotel room :(
